This Rider Focus features Dianne White. Dianne has been both a royal show champion and a royal show judge – with many other equestrian feathers to add to her bow.
Show Horses: Where did you learn to ride?
Dianne White: I learnt to ride by just riding! I had some pretty wild ones that I started on, someone once said to my mother, ‘don’t you like your daughter?!’ I did survive!
SH: Your favourite horse to date?
DW: Gosh, I can’t just name one, my old eventer Ebenezer, the best horse x-country. Neutral Bay and Kindly Thoughts, both did so well. Barjar Winston, he brings me to my greatest achievement: I qualified and took him to Germany for the FEI World Dressage Young Horse Championship in Germany! He was ridden by Stefan Wolff. It was the greatest.
SH: Where you are aiming for?
DW: Where do I want to go from here, just keep riding. I have a nice 4 year old that just won the 4 yr old at the CDI. I love young horses.
SH: Your favourite photo?
DW: Neutral Bay winning the first National Horse of The Year.
